Andrew Raym, born on May 2, 2001, is an American football player who has been a three-year starter for the Oklahoma offense in the center position. He attended the Broken Arrow High School and was a consensus four-star prospect by ESPN, 247Sports and Rivals. He’s regarded as one of the best offensive linesman to come out of the Tulsa-area high school. Raym was ranked the No.1 offensive guard in the country by 247Sports.
The 6’4, 305 pounds’ center started his collegiate football career with the University of Oklahoma over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Stanford, Texas and Texas A&M. In his freshman season in 2020, Raym saw action in nine games and managed a total of 61 snaps for the Sooners.
The top recruit in Oklahoma in 2020 was ready to see more action in 2021 appearing in 12 games and recording a total of 561 snaps in his sophomore year. Raym conceded 9 quarterback hurries, and one sack while playing at center earning his spot in the second-team All-Big 12 Conference.
His tall stature combined with his athletic build gives him the advantage to take on wide receivers, and he’s extremely light on his feet for a 300-pounder. In the junior season, Raym appeared in 10 games at center and totaled 700 snaps but missed the last three games due to a shoulder injury.
Raym became a second-time honourable mention in the second-team All-Big 12 Conference in his senior and final season with the Sooners. As a senior, he saw action in 12 games and finished the season with a 64.1 offensive grade and 72.2 pass-blocking grade. Raym allowed seven quarterback hurries, three QB hits, and three sacks while playing at center.
Raym concluded his Oklahoma Sooners career with 29 starts in the center. In December 2023, he declared for the 2024 NFL Draft and accepted an invitation to participate in the 2024 Senior Bowl, the annual college all-star game.
