Marcus Davenport is an American football defensive end for the Detroit Lions as of the 2024 NFL season. The New Orleans Saints selected him as the 14th overall pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. In the NFL with New Orleans Saints, Davenport recorded his first sack against the Falcons in Week 3. He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team the same year. He finished the 2018 season by recording 31 tackles and 6 sacks. In 2023, Davenport suffered from a high ankle sprain injury in Week 6, while playing on a one-year contract for the Minnesota Vikings. On March 13, 2024, Davenport signed a one-year, $10.5 million deal with the Lions. He suffered a season-ending triceps injury on September 22, 2024, against the Cardinals and was placed on injured reserve.

He attended John Paul Stevens High School for his primary education. Davenport played collegiate football with UTSA from 2014-2017. As a senior in 2017, he won the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year by recording 55 tackles. He also earned First-Team All-C-USA honors in 2017 and was later inducted into the UTSA Sports Hall of Fame in 2023.
