Alastair Wilson: A Brief Biography

Alastair Wilson is a British field hockey player who plays as the forward. He made his debut for England in 2005 on a tour of South Africa, and has since earned 45 caps for England and 20 for Great Britain which includes three appearances in the EuroHockey Nations Championship, and a part in the 2006 World Cup as substitute for Ben Marsden. He has also competed in the world Championship and European Championship in 2011, where the team picked up a bronze. He was also part of the team that played for Great Britain at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, where the team came fifth in the tournament. He was also a member of the England squad which won gold at the 2009 Eurohocky tournament. He competed for his national team in the 2012 Summer Olympics held at London.
