Eric Gordon is an American-Bahamian professional basketball player who plays as shooting guard for the Phoenix Suns. Born on December 25, 1988, Gordon was a standout performer at Indiana University. In the 2008 NBA Draft, Gordon was selected with the seventh overall pick by the Los Angeles Clippers.

During his early Clippers days, Gordon quickly established himself as a pure shooter. His averages of 18.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists during first three seasons are testament to his sharpshooting abilities. In 2011, he was part of the significant trade that sent Chris Paul to the Clippers.

Subsequently, Gordon moved to the New Orleans Hornets, where injury setbacks plagued his first two seasons, but he managed to regain his form. In the 2014-15 season, he had a remarkable year in long-range shooting, with a 44.8% success rate from 3-point range, ranking second in the league, behind Kyle Korver.

In 2016, Eric Gordon joined the Houston Rockets where his career flourished. He was part of the Rockets team which played a now-famous small-ball lineup while contributing as a 3-point specialist. He won the 2017’ 3-Point Contest and was awarded NBA's Sixth Man of the Year for the 2016-17 season.
