The Oklahoma City Thunder drafted Immanuel Quickley with the 25th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Then he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, who in return traded him to the New York Knicks, in exchange for Leandro Bolmaro. Eventually, in January 2024, Quickley was traded to the Toronto Raptors where he now plays as a backup point guard. Quickly won a gold medal at the 2016 FIBA U17 World Cup in Spain and a bronze medal at the 2017 FIBA Under-19 World Cup in Egypt for Team USA.

Throughout the 2022/23 season, Quickley participated in 81 games with the Knicks. He averaged 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.0 steals per game. He shot 44.8% from the field, including 37.0% from 3-point range. He ranked second in the contention for the Sixth Man of the Year Award.

The Toronto Raptors are building their future around the young star Scottie Barnes with a supporting cast of young players. Among them is Immanuel Quickley who can be a key contributor off the bench with his offense.

As Quickley approaches restricted free agency in the upcoming 2024 offseason, he seems determined to deliver consistent performances to land a lucrative contract.
