During his final season, Max averaged 20.1 points and 5.9 rebounds. He was selected to the All-Big East Conference for his impressive performance. Max set a new record in the team’s history. He became the second player after Mark Aguirre who scored 700 points in a season. Max spent two seasons at this university and declared for the 2019 NBA draft thereafter. However, he was not selected there and later, was named to the Boston Celtics Summer League roster.

NBA Career

Max Strus began his professional career with the Boston Celtics. After being undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft, he played with the Boston Celtics. On July 22, 2019, Max signed a two-way contract with the group. Soon after that, he was waived via this group. After that, Max signed a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls on October 22, 2019. He played his first game for this team on November 22, 2019, against the Miami Heat.

During his time with this team, Max suffered a bone fracture and a torn anterior cruciate ligament injury in his left knee on December 21st. This injury prompted him to many everyday games for about 8 to 12 months. He averaged 18.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists in thirteen G League games.

Max Strus signed a education camp with the Miami Heat on November 30, 2020. Shortly after, the group modified his contract to a two-way settlement on December 19. Later, in February, he scored 21 points in a game in opposition to the Miami Heat.

Max finished in the NBA Summer League with the Miami Heat. On August 6, 2021, he signed a 2-yr. agreement with the same group. Thereafter, Max went in to play several games for this team and led them to play in the 2023 NBA playoffs.

Max is now playing with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He signed a sign-and-agreement with this team on July 6, 2023. Max is currently rocking on the basketball grounds with this organization.
