Stanley Umude is a Nigerian-American basketball player who signed a two-way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks on July 9, 2024. As of 2024, he also plays for their G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd. Born on April 12, 1999, in Portland, Oregon, Umude grew up in San Antonio as he attended Earl Warren High School in San Antonio, Texas. As a senior in high school, he averaged 23.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 2.4 blocks per game and earned all-district honors.

Umude began playing college basketball at South Dakota from 2017 to 2021. As a freshman, Umude had a modest start, averaging just 1.1 points per game. However, he made a remarkable leap in his sophomore season, averaging 14.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. This improvement was the largest single-year scoring increase in NCAA Division I basketball that season. In his fourth year at South Dakota during the 2020–21 season, Umude continued to shine as he averaged 21.5 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists per game. His standout performances for South Dakota earned him two First-team All-Summit League honors in 2019 and 2021. After his time at South Dakota, Umude transferred to Arkansas for the 2021–22 season, playing one more season of college basketball before going pro and signing a contract with the NBA G League team Motor City Cruise before the 2022-23 NBA season.
