Ricky Council IV is a college basketball player from America. He was born on August 3, 2001, in Durham, North Carolina, United States. Ricky plays basketball for Arkansas Razorbacks of the Southeastern Conference (SEC).

Ricky Council IV joined the Southern School of Energy and Sustainability. He began his basketball journey at this school. During his senior season, Ricky averaged 23 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. He was named third-team All-State after his impressive performance as a high school senior.

After playing at high school, Ricky Council caught the attention of many agencies. He got many offers from different agencies, including Elon, Hofstra, UMBC, Rice Appalachian State, Siena and Coastal Carolina. Finally, he decided to play college basketball at Wichita State.

At the beginning of college, Ricky participated in 22 games. He averaged 7.1 points and 3.4 rebounds. He was selected to the American Athletic Conference (AAC) All-Freshman team during his first year. While playing at college, Ricky was named the AAC Sixth Man of the Year.

After completing the season, Ricky declared for the 2022 NBA draft. Shortly after, he withdrew his name and entered the NCAA transfer portal. Ricky moved to Arkansas and continued to play college basketball. During his junior season, he averaged 16.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 2.3 assists per game.

Following his junior season, Ricky officially announced that he might leave the college and enter the 2023 NBA draft to start his professional basketball career.

Rick and Ruth Council are Ricky’s parents. Along with his parents, Ricky’s family includes his three older siblings: Ricky Council II, Ricky Council III and Rhianna. Ricky Council has a very supportive family, as they always inspired him to pursue his career in sports.

Moreover, all of his siblings also have a sports background. His oldest brother, Ricky Council II, played basketball at Providence and UMBC. After that, Ricky Council III was also a basketball player at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M as a junior. Additionally, Ricky has an older sister named Rhianna. She played basketball at UNCG.
