The Kansas City-born, Devin Eric Lloyd, is an inside linebacker for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Lloyd was drafted by the Jaguars with the 27th pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft. In the same year, he was also named the defensive rookie for the month of September, by documenting twenty-four tackles, two interceptions, and defending six passes. Before entering the University of Utah, he attended Otay Ranch High School in California. During high school, he played as a wide receiver, safety, and punter.

However, in 2021, rather than entering the NFL draft, he chose to continue with his senior year. In addition, Lloyd was unanimously chosen for the First Team All-American and the First Team All-Pac-12. January 13, 2022, was the day Lloyd declared for the 2022 draft.
