Alperen Sengun is a Turkish professional basketball center for the Houston Rockets in the 204/25 NBA season. Born on July 25, 2002, Sengun started playing professional basketball only at the age of 16 when he joined the Bandirma Kirmizi junior team in 2018. At 18, Sengun made waves in the Turkish Super League, debuting with the Teksüt Bandirma senior team, where he averaged 5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. However, it was the 2020-2021 season that truly marked Sengun's breakout. He propelled Turkish giants Beşiktaş to the Super League championship, delivering impressive performances with averages of 19.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.7 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game.
