Hailing from Newark, Bam Adebayo is an American professional basketball player born on July 18, 1997. The Miami Heat selected him as the 14th overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft, and he has been playing for the same team since then.
In high school, he played basketball for the Northside High School in Pinetown, North Carolina. Later, in his senior year, he moved to the High Point Christian Academy in High Point, North Carolina. He finished high school averaging 18.9 points per game, 13.0 rebounds per game, 1.5 assists per game and 1.4 blocks per game.
Bam Adebayo attended the University of Kentucky in November 2015 and played his first match with his college team on December 7, 2016, grabbing 16 points and seven rebounds in an 87-67 victory over Valparaiso. During college , he participated in the NCAA tournament and defeated Wichita State in the tournament's second round. After facing a defeat in the Elite Eight, Bam Adebayo declared for the 2017 NBA draft on April 5, 2017.
He received many honours throughout his career. He is a two-time NBA All-Star and was rewarded with the All-Defensive Second Team award four times. Bam led his team (Miami Heat) to the 2020 NBA Finals and won a gold medal while playing with the 2020 U.S. Olympic team in Tokyo.
