Lonzo Ball Contract

Last Modified Dec 8, 2023 22:51 GMT

Lonzo Ball is an American basketball player who plays as a point guard for the Chicago Bulls. Born on October 27, 1997, Lonzo hails from Anaheim, California.

Ball burst onto the basketball scene as a five-star athlete during his time at Chino Hills High School in California. He was named Naismith Prep Player of the Year and Mr. Basketball USA in his senior season. For college, Ball played for one season for the UCLA Bruins. In his only year as a Bruin, he got recognition as the floor general.

Subsequently in the 2018 NBA Draft, Ball was selected with the second overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers. His tenure with the Lakers had its highs and lows and later became part of a blockbuster trade involving Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans.

Ball continued to develop as a player during his time with the Pelicans, and showcased his versatility as an elite two-way player. He started to gain recognition on the NBA level as a player who can deliver some exciting, flashy passes while being one of the best guard defenders in the league.

In the 2021 offseason, Lonzo Ball signed with the Chicago Bulls and continued his exciting two-way game. Unfortunately for him, the promising trajectory of his career was interrupted by a tragic setback.

In the early offseason of 2022, Ball suffered a severe injury to his left knee, forcing him to miss the entire 2022/23 season as well as the 2023/24 season. As he faces the challenge of recovery, the NBA community eagerly awaits his return to the court, hopeful that he will once again make a significant impact on the game he loves.
