Nikola Vucevic is a Montenegrin professional basketball player who plays for the Chicago Bulls in the NBA. Born on October 24, 1990, his basketball journey is deeply rooted in a family legacy. His father, Borislav "Boro" Vucevic was a professional player in Europe who played for an impressive 24 years.

Vucevic learnt basketball fundamentals from his father in his native country Montenegro and grew into one the best players in the country. To develop further, he relocated to Simi Valley, California. In October 2007, he played his senior season in high school at Stoneridge Prep.

Following this, Vucevic went on to play three seasons with the Trojans at the University of Southern California. It was at USC where Vucevic became a strong center with great footwork.

His impressive collegiate performance led the Philadelphia 76ers to draft him with the 16th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. After a decent rookie season, Vucevic was a key piece in the now-famous “Dwight Howard Trade to Lakers.” Vucevic replaced Howard at Orlando Magic, and he established himself as a double-double machine, showcasing his prowess in both scoring and rebounding on the court.

The veteran center is a two-time All-Star and is one of the best big men who can knock down outside shots. In addition to his NBA success, Vucevic has represented Montenegro on the international stage.
