Stephen Douglas Kerr, mostly known as Steve Kerr, is from Beirut, Lebanon. He is also widely known as ‘Ice’ in the league.

In his early days, Kerr was recruited out of highschool to play college basketball for the University of Arizona. He led the Wildcats to many victories with his accuracy from behind the line. After completing his graduation from Arizona Kerr made it into the NBA. He was picked by the Phoenix Suns and could not garner much attention during his rookie year.

Kerr's career escalated after joining the Chicago Bulls playing five seasons for the team. He was a role player and a three-point specialist. He won three back to back championship rings with the Bulls and was traded to the San Antonio Spurs. Kerr's streak of being Champion did not end after leaving the Bulls as he won another championship with the Spurs. After that he played a year for the Portland Trail Blazers before making his return to the Spurs. Being traded back to the Spurs, Kerr won his fifth NBA championship with the team after which he announced his retirement.

Steve Kerr then became a broadcast analyst and commentator for Turner Network Television. He was in the broadcasting business till 2007 after which he decided on becoming the general manager for the Suns. After spending six years of his executive career with his former team the Phoenix Suns, Kerr left the team and became the head coach for the Golden State Warriors.

Joining the Warriors, Kerr gained a lot of credentials towards his coaching prowess as he led the team to win four NBA Championships. The Warriors is a team that has a great shooting line-up and is led by one of the greatest shooters of all time Stephen Curry. So, this was a great match for a former player known for his three-point accuracy. Kerr went on to improve the team and made them one of the top teams in the league.

Kerr has made his legacy in the league both as a player and a coach. He has earned himself a place in the Hall of Fame and was named one of the Top 15 Coaches in the league.
