He was born on June 13, 2000, in Monroe, North Carolina, and played college basketball at Clemson University. The Oklahoma City Thunder drafted Hunter Tyson in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft as the 37th overall pick. However, he was later traded to the Denver Nuggets.
