Jabari Montsho Smith Jr. is an American Power Forward for the Houston Rockets in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team drafted him with the third overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.


Smith Jr. played 79 games with the Rockets in his debut 2022/23 season, and averaged 12.8 points with 7.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. He shot 40.8% from the field, including 30.7% from deep. During the season, he also became the first player since Hakeem Olajuwon in 1985 to average more than 20 points with more than 10 rebounds in three consecutive games in the history of the franchise. He was named on the All-Rookie Second team in 2023.


Internationally, Smith Jr. won the gold medal for Team USA at the 2019 FIBA Americas Under-16 Championship in Brazil.
