Jonathan Kuminga is a 6 ‘ 8 “ Congolese forward who plays for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA. He was a consensus 5 star recruit and one of the top small forwards coming out of the 2021 class. After completing high school, he decided to forego college and instead chose to join the NBA G League Ignite.

Picked 7th overall out of the G-League Ignite in the 2021 NBA Draft, Kuminga is currently playing his third NBA season and is seriously building his game to fulfill his potential.

Last season, he appeared in 67 games and started 16 of them averaging 9.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game on 52.5% field goal which also includes 37% from the three-point line.

He is a player with a bright future but doesn't fit into Steve Kerr’s line-up as of now. In the 2022/23 NBA season he started some of the games as a replacement for the Forward Andrew Wiggins after the All-Star break. Mainly coming off the bench, he is yet to prove himself to be consistent enough to become a starter as the Warriors are already packed with a roster comprising multiple All-Stars.

During his rookie season, on December 18, 2021, he put up a career-high 26 points against the Toronto Raptors.
