After completing high school, he decided to forego college and instead chose to join the NBA G League Ignite.

Picked 7th overall out of the G-League Ignite in the 2021 NBA Draft, Kuminga is currently playing his third NBA season and is seriously building his game to fulfill his potential.

In the 2022/23 NBA season he started some of the games as a replacement for the Forward Andrew Wiggins after the All-Star break. Mainly coming off the bench, he is yet to prove himself to be consistent enough to become a starter as the Warriors are already packed with a roster comprising multiple All-Stars.
