Lonzo Ball is an American point guard who plays for the Chicago Bulls in the NBA. The LA Lakers drafted Ball with the second overall pick in 2017. He is notable for being one of the seven players in the history of the NBA to average at least 6 rebounds and 6 assists per game at 20 years of age or younger.

Currently sidelined with a long term knee injury, Ball last played for the Bulls in the 2021/22 season. He played 35 games throughout the season, and averaged 13.0 points with 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. He shot 42.3% from the field, including 42.3% from deep.

Ball suffered a meniscus tear on January 20, 2022 which sidelined him for the remainder of the season. His surgeries caused him to miss out the 2022/23 season and he will also miss the entire 2023/24 season.

Ball is currently on a four-year $80 million contract with the Bulls. He has a player option at the end of the 2023/24 season.
