Beverley was selected with the 42nd overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2009 NBA Draft. However, a day later, the Miami Heat announced that they had acquired the draft rights to Beverley from the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for a 2011 second-round pick and cash.

After being cut from the Heat’s final roster, Beverley spent three and a half seasons overseas in Ukraine, Greece, and Russia. He made his NBA debut with the Houston Rockets on January 15, 2013. In his first NBA season, he averaged 5.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 41 games.

Beverley has played for multiple NBA teams, including the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, and currently the Philadelphia 76ers.
