Born on November 4, 2000, in Garland, Texas, Tyrese Maxey is an American professional basketball player who plays as a shooting guard for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA. He attended the University of Kentucky before being selected as the 21st overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2020 NBA draft.

He made his NBA debut on December 23, 2020, and played in 61 games in his rookie season, averaging 8.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. In the 2022-23 NBA season he helped the 76ers to reach the playoffs.

Tyrese Maxey is well known for his scoring ability, athleticism, and competitiveness. He primarily plays as a shooting guard but can also play point guard if needed.

Tyrese Maxey's Current Contract

The 76ers guard signed a four-year rookie contract with the Philadelphia 76ers worth $14.9 million in 2020. The four year contract avails the first two years fully guaranteed and the third and fourth years as team options.
