Luke Francis Kornet is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Boston Celtics, and contributes as an important member of their bench unit.

Due to his towering 7 feet 2 inch frame, coupled with his shooting ability, Kornet rose to prominence as a unique talent in the NBA. Such a skill set distinguished him from the traditional big men. While he initially made a significant impact as an above-average threat from deep, Kornet has transitioned into more of an old-school backup center role in recent seasons. Before making his mark in the NBA, Kornet displayed his talent on the NCAA collegiate stage, playing four seasons at Vanderbilt University. Kornet left a lasting legacy in college, as he became the all-time leader for blocked shots in the school's history with an impressive tally of 210 blocks.

Notably, Kornet also etched his name in NCAA history as the all-time leader for 3-pointers made by any player standing 7 feet tall or taller, by knocking down 150 3-pointers in his college career. Throughout his NBA career, Kornet has donned the jerseys of five different Eastern Conference teams, including the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Milwaukee Bucks, and now, the Boston Celtics. Despite his journeyman status, Kornet's unique skill set and contributions off the bench make him a valuable asset for any team he represents.
