Born and raised in a family of athletes, Paul Clifford Anthony George took to the sport of basketball from a young age. George played high school basketball at Knight High School in his hometown of Palmdale, California, and attended California State University for college.

After two seasons of college basketball, George declared for the 2010 NBA Draft where he got picked 10th overall by the Indiana Pacers. PG 13 is an eight-time All-Star and is regarded as one of the best two-way players in the league. George led the league in steals (2.2) in the 2018/19 season while playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Playing for the Clippers in the 2023-24 season, Paul George averaged 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks, with a FG% of 47.1% and a 3P% of 41.3%.

Before that, George’s contract was a four-year $136 million deal with the fourth year being a player option. He signed this contract during the 2018 offseason while with the OKC Thunder. He had a memorable two-season stint with the Thunder during which he averaged 25.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game.

In September 2013, George signed a five-year, guaranteed $91.5 million rookie max extension with the Pacers. This was George’s first max contract extension and one that was well-earned. Through this deal, he earned an annual average salary of $18 million.
