C J Mosley

C J Mosley is an American football linebacker for the New York Jets in the NFL. The Baltimore Ravens selected Mosley in the first round (17th pick) in the 2014 NFL Draft. The Alabama-origin went to Theodore High School for his primary education and then to the University of Alabama for college. As a junior in high school, he recorded 176 tackles which is a school record along with seven sacks. This earned him an ASWA 6A All-State selection. The 2013 SEC Defensive Player of the Year started his collegiate career in 2010.

In 2012, Mosley was recognized first-team All-American by the Associated Press. In 2012 he recorded three career interceptions which earned him Alabama's MVP award. Mosley made his NFL debut against the Bengals where he recorded seven combined tackles in 2014. He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team while finishing the season with 133 combined tackles and three sacks. In 2015 he recorded 117 combined tackles (77 solo) and four sacks. In the 2017 season, he started 16 games recorded 132 combined tackles, and was ranked ranked 98th by his peers on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2018.
