Cameron Heyward is an American football defensive tackle who plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL as of 2024. The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Heyward as the 31st pick in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Born on 6th May 1989, Heyward started his professional football career at Peachtree Ridge High School. In his senior year of high school, he registered over 100 tackles and 16 sacks making him the seventh-best football player in Georgia. After high school, Heyward joined Ohio State University and demonstrated his skills. In his freshman year, he recorded 30 tackles, however, in his college career, he got a total of 163 tackles.
Heyward's exceptional performance in college secured him a place in the NFL and was taken by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
