Elijah Roberts is an American football defensive end playing for the SMU Mustangs as of March 2025. He joined the team in 2023 after spending three seasons with the Miami Hurricanes (2020–2022). On December 30, 2024, Roberts announced via his Instagram account (@elijah.roberts) that he would enter the 2025 NFL Draft. He later participated in the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. According to the NFL's official website, Roberts ran the 40-yard dash in 4.78 seconds, with a 1.67-second 10-yard split. He also achieved a 31.5-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-8-inch broad jump.

A native of Miami, Florida, Roberts attended Christopher Columbus High School in Miami-Dade County and was a four-star recruit out of high school. For the University of Miami, he played 20 games in three seasons and registered 21 tackles, including two for loss, half a sack, and one forced fumble. In 2023, he moved to the SMU Mustangs, starting all 14 games and making 37 tackles (21 solo), 13 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, and two forced fumbles. He earned second-team All-AAC honors. In his sophomore season, as team captain, he started 13 games and recorded 35 tackles (17 solo), 11 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery (via sports-reference). His Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade of 91.2 tied for the second-highest among all FBS edge defenders.
