Luther Burden III is an American football wide receiver for the Chicago Bears of the NFL. He was picked by the Bears in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft with the 39th overall pick after he declared for the 2025 NFL draft. Prior to that, he played at the University of Missouri in the 2024 season. He played for the Missouri Tigers football program in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) from 2022 to 2024, appearing in 38 games during that span, as recorded by Sports Reference. His freshman season in 2022 saw him appear in all 13 games, with 10 starts under his belt. Burden III finished his freshman year by hauling in 45 catches for 375 yards while getting into the endzone on eight different occasions, which includes 5 passing touchdowns, two rushing touchdowns, and one punt-return TD.
Luther’s sophomore campaign saw him finish second in the SEC and ninth in the nation in receiving yards.
