Mike Evans is a wide receiver who plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise of the NFL. He was born in Galveston, Texas, on August 21, 1993. He is an accomplished receiver and is breaking records in the NFL and for the Buccaneers at a rapid rate.

Physically, Evans has a great advantage with his 6 feet 5-inch height and 231 lb weight which he uses to reach for the ball or muscle his way past a defender. Evans is the only wide receiver in the league history to go for over 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first 10 years in the league. He started his 2024 campaign with a bang, scoring 2 touchdowns in Bucs season debut against Washington Commanders.

Evans was born on August 21, 1993, to his parents Heather Kilgore and Mike Evans Jr. Evans' parents were very young when they had him, especially his mother who was only 14 years old at the time of his birth. His father, on the other hand, was only 19.

A couple of years later, Mike became the older brother to his sister named Kia. It was a huge responsibility for two very young adults but somehow it was managed mostly by Evans’ mother.

Evans' mother, Heather Kilgore became a mother very early in life. However, that was not the most difficult part of her life. It was the abuse she received from her husband Mike Evans Jr. that was the worst part.

Unfortunately, though, she would be tasked to raise her children without their father for about three years when he was in jail for felony assault on another woman. Evans’ mother took her kids and they lived with her mother and brother when she told them about the abuse she would suffer at the hands of Mike Evans Jr.

In 2002, Kilgore’s brother could no longer control his emotions and his anger got the better of him. Unable to control his anger, he murdered Evans’ father which left his mother to raise her kids by herself. She did the best she could by putting food on the table, but she wasn’t able to provide them with the best possible life.

Evans’ father Mike Evans Jr. was also quite young when he had his firstborn. Although he shared a good relationship with his kids and encouraged them to pursue sports, Evans Jr. had a bad temper. He abused his wife several times and later went to jail for abusing another woman.

After three years in jail, Evans Jr. returned and once again started to build his rapport with his children. They again continued to share a good bond until 2002 came and Evans’ uncle murdered their father due to the physical abuse he had caused his sister all those years.
