Aaron Rodgers' ex-teammate claims QB has lost belief in Packers: "This is unacceptable"

Aaron Rodgers has been losing for almost a month straight, and the problems have been consistent in the eyes of many. Speaking on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, NFL analyst and former teammate of the Green Bay Packers quarterback, Greg Jennings, outlined Rodgers' loss of belief in his team.

"I don't believe he [Rodgers] believes in the guys around him. And it's evident when you look at what they do offensively, they don't push the ball down the field. He doesn't give them opportunities to truly make plays, and they're not being available when they're not making the plays, when he does decide to give them that opportunity."

Jennings went on, sympathizing with his former quarterback's frustrations:

"So if I'm Aaron Rodgers, I can see why he's frustrated at the beginning of the season... When you start to lose and you start to hear the chatter and your play has declined and you're not able to make and improve the guys around you, you need more guys to step up and that's not happening."

He concluded that the quarterback himself also deserves some of the blame:

"This is unacceptable, and not only for the Green Bay Packers but even for Aaron Rodgers, because he's just not playing well either."

The 2022 NFL season is rapidly approaching the midway mark, and the Packers are two games behind the 5-1 Minnesota Vikings. They're also under .500 at 3-4 after losing to three historically struggling teams. They've lost to the New York Jets, the New York Giants, and the Washington Commanders.

Of course, the Jets and the Giants are experiencing a rebirth in 2022, but the loss to the now 3-4 Washington Commanders was eye-opening for many. The Packers lost to the team by a score of 23-21. The Commanders gave backup quarterback Taylor Heinicke his first start after losing Carson Wentz to injury.

The road only gets harder for the Packers, who now are set to face the red-hot Buffalo Bills, who are coming off a bye with rejuvenated legs.
