Talanoa Hufanga is an American football safety for the Denver Broncos in the NFL. Hufanga kickstarted his pro career after the San Francisco 49ers selected him with the 180th pick in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He started his NFL career with the San Francisco 49ers while appearing in 15 games as a rookie. In the 2022 season, he recorded 97 total tackles and four interceptions. Due to having a career year in 2022 where he recorded 97 total tackles, 2 sacks, 5 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, and 9 pass deflections, Hufanga earned a Pro Bowl nomination and first-team All-Pro honors that year. Hufanaga has only started all 17 games in a single season once (2022) in his pro career as of March 2025. He joined the Denver Broncos as a free agent in March 2025.

He started his collegiate football career at the USC College in 2018. As a freshman at USC College, Hufanga recorded 51 tackles in 2018. He had a breakout season in his junior year, where he received First-team All-Pac 12 honors and was named Consensus All-American. He was also named Pac-12 Conference Defensive Player of the Year and was the co-recipient of the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year in 2020 alongside Zach Wilson. He attended Crescent Valley High School, where he started his football career. As a senior in high school, he was named Polynesian High School National Player of the Year in 2017.
