Trent McDuffie is an American football cornerback who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Kansas City Chiefs selected Trent McDuffie in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft with the 21st overall pick. In his first season, he rapidly established himself as the Chiefs' starting cornerback and played an important part in the team's 38-35 triumph against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII. McDuffie made five tackles throughout the game as per Pro Football Reference. In his second season, he helped the Chiefs win Super Bowl LVIII with a 25-22 victory against the San Francisco 49ers. McDuffie made three tackles and three passes defenses. His outstanding performance earned him a spot on the First Team All-Pro in 2023. As of January 2025, McDuffie posted 4.5 sacks, 183 total tackles, 27 passes defended, and seven forced fumbles
McDuffie began his collegiate football journey at the University of Washington as per the Go Huskies website. As a true freshman in 2019, he started 11 of 13 games and had 45 tackles and one interception (via Sports Reference). In the abbreviated 2020 season, he started all four games and had 14 tackles and another interception. Trent McDuffie initially went to Servite High School but soon after he transferred to, St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, California. He was a standout player at St. John Bosco and was chosen to compete in the All-American Bowl.
