Tyler Smith is an American football offensive guard for the Dallas Cowboys as of the 2024 NFL season. The Cowboys selected Smith with the 24th overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He began his NFL career with the Cowboys in 2022 while starting in all 17 games in the 2022 season. He was also named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team the same season. In 2023, he earned both Second-team All-Pro honors and a Pro Bowl selection. As of Week 8 in the 2024 NFL season, he has played in 38 games and started in each one of them.

The Texas -origin went to North Crowley High School for his primary education and then to the University of Tulsa for college. As a senior in high school, Smith earned all-state selection at North Crowley High School. The 2020 First-team All-AAC was rated a three-star recruit and started his college career in 2019 with Tulsa College. As a freshman, the 6ft 5in offensive guard started two games while playing a total of four games in 2019. In 2020, Smith was named first-team all-American Athletic Conference and also to the 2020 FWAA all-freshman team. As a sophomore, he started 12 of 13 games for the team in 2021.
