William L. Shipley, commonly known as Will Shipley is an American football running back for the Philadelphia Eagles. The fourth-round pick from the 2024 NFL draft grew up in Weddington, North Carolina, where he attended his hometown, Weddington High School. While Shipley skipped his senior year in high school due to the season getting moved to spring 2021 on the back of the COVID-19 crisis, he still managed to score 80 total touchdowns during his time at Weddington. ESPN rated the 22-year-old running back as the second-best prospect at his position in the 2021 class. He committed to Clemson University where he played for the Tigers from 2021 to 2023. He went on to play in 36 games for the Tigers during his 3-year collegiate tenure, where he totaled more than 2,700 rushing yards and 602 receiving yards while getting into the endzone a total of 33 times. The Tigers also used him as a kickoff returner during his at Clemson.
While Shipley has not seen much time on the field since becoming a pro, he has still managed to lock down the No.3 spot on the running back depth chart released by the Philadelphia Eagles' official website.
