Naz Reid plays as a center/power forward for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Reid was rated a five-star recruit coming out of Roselle Catholic High School. The 2018 McDonald's All-American Game participant played college basketball for the LSU Tigers from 2018 to 2019. Reid appeared in 34 games and averaged 13.6 points per contest for the Tigers.

In 2019, Reid declared for the NBA draft. However, he went undrafted and signed a two-way contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves in July 2019. He initially played for the Timberwolves' NBA G League affiliate team Iowa Wolves before making his NBA debut on December 9, 2019. Reid won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award in 2024.. He has played in 326 games and averaged 10.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in his NBA career, as of May 2025.
