Jaxson Dart is an American football player who represented the Ole Miss Rebels football team from 2022 to 2024. He made the transition to Ole Miss in 2022, following his time as a quarterback for the USC Trojans football team, representing the University of Southern California. In his solitary season with USC in 2021, Jaxson Dart appeared in six games, starting three as a true freshman. During this time, he completed 62% of his passes for 1,353 yards and nine touchdowns.

Upon joining the Ole Miss Rebels in 2022, Dart made an impact by starting at quarterback in 12 of the 13 games played. He made 226-of-362 for 2,974 yards, throwing 20 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Dart accumulated 614 yards on 128 attempts, scoring one touchdown on the ground. His dual-threat performance was recognized nationally, being one of the six FBS quarterbacks to achieve both 2,900 passing yards and 600 rushing yards and one of only two in the SEC. Last season, he recorded a career-high 4,279 passing yards with 29 touchdowns and six interceptions and was honored with the Conerly Trophy. Dart concluded his Rebels career with 10,617 yards, 72 touchdowns, and 22 interceptions, as per his official roster on Ole Miss Rebels.

Brandon Dart is the father of Jaxson Dart. He played as a defensive back for the Utah Utes football team during two separate periods, from 1994 to 1996 and then again from 1999 to 2000. Dart completed his high school education at Northridge High School before attending the University of Utah as per Utah Utes.

During his time at Utah, Dart faced some challenges with injuries. In his freshman year in 1994, he suffered a back injury that shortened his season. The following year, in 1995, he injured his knee in the first game against Oregon, where he showcased his skills with 13 tackles and a 97-yard interception return for a touchdown. Unfortunately, he had to redshirt the remainder of the season.

Dart's standout season came in 1996 when he was named an honorable mention all-WAC strong safety. He started 10 games and emerged as Utah's second-leading tackler with 96 tackles, including 15 tackles for loss. However, in 1997, he sustained another knee injury in August and he was redshirted for the remaining season again.

After injuries and being sidelined for two seasons, Brandon Dart applied for additional eligibility from the NCAA and was granted two more years of play in the 1999-2000 seasons. During his time at Utah, he wore the number 42 jersey.
