Sam Hartman is a quarterback footballer hailing from the United States. He has emerged as a prominent face of college football. Born on July 29, 1999, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Sam Hartman started his football career in his school and is continuing it into his college years. His skills and accomplishments have led him to become the team captain for Notre Dame. He has also earned the Brian Piccolo Award in 2022. Sam Hartman has transitioned himself from playing for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in his football career.

Sam Hartman’s Brothers

Sam Hartman had two older brothers named Demitri Allison and Joe Hartman. Demitri Allison was adopted by the family when he was 15 years old and spent the latter part of his school years with them. Then he enrolled at Elon University where he played football.

Sam Hartman had a very good relationship with his adopted older brother Demitri Allison. He considered him an idol and both of them were inseparable. Unfortunately, all that ended when Demitri Allison committed suicide in 2015 by falling from a residence hall at Elon University. His death was associated with his emotional state and well-being.

This was something that Sam Hartman had a very difficult time to get over with. He later stated that it hurts him a lot to know that the person whom he used to consider an idol was no longer there. He further went on to state that Demitri Allison might not have their last or the same blood but he was a true brother to him. Likewise, Hartman also loved him like a true brother. This also led him to start therapy in 2021 to control his stresses and anxieties. It also taught him about cherishing and being close to his family members. Sam Hartman also started wearing jersey no. 10 and a wristband with the initials “D.A.” as a way of paying respect to his deceased brother. He stated that his teammates at Notre Dame remind him of his late brother and this motivates him to continue playing football.

Joe Hartman is another older brother of Sam Hartman who is also involved in football. To pay tribute to their deceased brother Demitri Allison, both Sam and Joe Hartman played a football game. There, while Joe Hartman played the defense and as a receiver, Sam Hartman completed 12 passes out of 18 and also made 2 touchdowns. Both these brothers were quite instrumental in helping their team defeat their opponents with a score of 31-13.

Nevertheless, Joe Hartman is quite a private person and not much is known about him. However, Sam Hartman has that his brother presently studies medicine at the University of Florida.
