Aiden Hutchinson is an American professional football defensive end for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League. He started his NFL career in 2022 after playing for the University of Michigan from 2018 to 2021. Hutchinson was a standout in Michigan where he won the prestigious Lombardi Trophy, Ted Hendricks Award, and Lott Trophy, and was a unanimous All-American in 2021. Hutchinson is by no means a small player is listed at 6 feet 7 inches which is why he is so difficult to contain. In his very first season, Hutchinson recorded sacks after sacks, destroying various offensive schemes and being a force on the defensive end. He finished second in the Defensive Rookie of the Year voting and was a dominant force for the Lions. In the 2022 season, Hutchinson recorded nine and a half sacks, three interceptions, and two fumble recoveries making him the only rookie and the second defensive lineman in history to achieve this feat.

It must be a dream come true for Hutchinson since he was born in Michigan and is currently playing for Detroit which is a remarkable feat. He was born on August 9th, 2002. For his high school, Hutchinson attended Divine Child High School in Dearborn, Michigan and played multiple positions for the team including defensive end, tight end, offensive line, and long snapper. Hutchinson also played in the 2018 U.S. Army All-American Game where he recorded two sacks. Hutchinson played for the University of Michigan where he received multiple awards such as Ted Hendricks Award (2021), Lombardi Award in 2021, Lott Trophy in 2021, Unanimous All-American in 2021, First-team All-Big Ten in 2021, Third-team All-Big Ten in 2019. In 2021, as a senior, Hutchinson set the team’s single-season record with 14 sacks. All he did was sack QBs and play excellent defense which got him drafted as the number two overall pick in the 2022 draft.

Hutchinson was born to parents Melissa Hutchinson (his mother) and Chris Hutchinson (his father). His mother, Melissa, specializes in photography and has documented her family’s entire journey. She is one of the biggest supporters of Aidan as she frequently posts about her son and all the milestones he has achieved so far in his young career on her Instagram account @melissahutch. In addition to her photography, Melissa has a keen interest in fashion. She became an ambassador for Savvi, an athleisure clothing brand, in 2020,

Melissa’s personality shone through in 2021 when she went viral for celebrating with Aidan on the field after Michigan's 42-27 victory over Ohio State. Apart from supporting her son, Melissa is a busy woman who also supports her daughters. She is also very passionate about fashion and in 2020 she introduced her ambassadorship with Savvi Clothing, an athleisure brand.

She seems to be very family-oriented and loves to click pictures and post them on her Instagram. Melissa is a social butterfly and a loving mother who loves to attend various events and support her kids’ careers.
