Solomon Alijah Lewis Vera-Tucker is a professional American Football guard for the New York Jets in the NFL as of 2024. The New York Jets drafted Vera-Tucker as the 14th pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. His rookie season saw him starting 16 games at left guard while recording 1,026 snaps, along with that, he was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. Vera-Tucker was selected to start at right guard the next season, but he shifted positions twice prior to Week 7 when an injury forced him to be placed on injured reserve. In 2023, Vera-Tucker played in five games and concluded the season with 250 snaps. In April of 2024, the Jets exercised the fifth-year option on Vera-Tucker’s contract.

Vera-Tucker committed to the University of Southern California for his collegiate football. At USC, Vera-Tucker redshirted through his true freshman season. In 2018, Vera-Tucker played in all 12 games at right offensive guard. The following season saw him having an outstanding season by being named to AP All-Pac-12 first team, Pro Football Focus All-American third team, All-Pac-12 second team and Phil Steele All-Pac-12 third team, with that, he also received USC’s Offensive Lineman of the Year. In 2020, Vera-Tucker won the 2020 Morris Trophy, in addition to that he was named to the All-Pac-12 first team, 2020 Phil Steele All-American honorable mention, Pro Football Focus All-Pac-12 first team and Phil Steele All-Pac-12 first team. Prior to committing to USC, Vera-Tucker completed his high school education at Bishop O'Dowd High School where as a senior he was named an Under Armour All-American.
