Brian Branch is an American football nickleback who has been playing for the Detroit Lions franchise since the 2023-24 NFL season. Branch was born on October 22, 2001, in Fayetteville, Georgia, and got drafted in the second round as the #45 pick. Branch has excelled in his role as a member of the secondary unit and has been crucial in helping the Lions make a deep playoff run. He was the first safety to be taken in that year’s draft class. He is an alumnus of the University of Alabama where he played three seasons on the Alabama Crimson Tide football team, and is the 2020 CFP National Champion, was named for the second-team All-SEC and the first-team All-American in 2022.
