Jordan began his collegiate career with the University of California in 2007. As a freshman in 2007, Jordan played in all 13 games off the bench during his true freshman season and recorded 18 tackles, three quarterback hurries and one fumble recovery. He was a first-team All-Pac-10 choice as a senior in 2010. Jordan attended Chandler High School, where he began his football career. As a senior in high school, he recorded 85 tackles, 37.0 tackles for loss and 17.5 sacks and earned All-State honors. He was selected to the All-Far West team by SuperPrep and was rated as a five-star recruit.
