Damien Stephon Lewis is an American Football Guard for the Carolina Panthers. Lewis signed a four-year contract with the Seahawks, after being their 69th pick in the third round of the 2020 NFL draft. Lewis made his debut in the season opener against the Atlanta Falcons. During his rookie season, Lewis suffered a few minor injuries but managed to start all the games. After a tough season, Lewis was named to the Pro Football Writers Association's NFL All-Rookie Team.
Growing up in Mississippi, Lewis attended Canton High School and due to him not qualifying academically for Division I Football, he did not receive any offers from four-year colleges. For collegiate football, he joined the Northwest Mississippi Community College after receiving a scholarship. In both of his seasons at Northwest Mississippi, he was named a second-team Junior College All-American. To continue his collegiate career, he attended the Lousiana State University where he helped the Tigers win the 2020 National Championship.
