Dawson Alan Knox is a professional American football player who plays as a tight end for the Buffalo Bills in the NFL. Knox was the 96th pick in the third round of the 2019 NFL draft for the Bills. In Week 3, against the Cincinnati Bengals, Knox had his first touchdown. Knox finished his rookie season with two touchdowns and 28 receptions for 388 yards. The following season, Knox recorded three touchdowns, two fumbles and 24 receptions for 288 yards. In 2021, Knox caught nine receiving touchdowns. By signing a four-year extension with the Bills in 2022, Knox became one of the highest-paid tight ends in the NFL. The next season, even after being placed on the injured reserve from October 26th till December 9th, Knox finished the season with 22 receptions for 186 yards and two touchdowns.

For his collegiate football, as a walk-on, Knox enrolled at the University of Mississippi where he played until 2018. At Ole Miss, during the 2017 season, Knox recorded 24 receptions for 321 yards and as a junior, he recorded a total of 15 receptions for 284 yards. To enter the 2019 NFL draft, Knox decided to forgo his senior year. During his time at St. Paul Christian Academy and Brentwood Academy, Knox played as a wide receiver and a quarterback.
