The San Francisco 49ers selected him as the 142nd overall pick in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. In 2022, Reed signed a three-year contract with the Jets worth $33 million. Before joining the Jets in 2022, he played for the San Francisco 49ers from 2018 to 2019, and the Seattle Seahawks from 2020 to 2021.
