Andrew Stephen Lock is an American football quarterback for the New York Giants in the NFL. The Denver Broncos selected him as the 42nd pick in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Lock had a thumb injury during the preseason and was placed on injured reserve his rookie season. Lock missed four weeks of action due to a shoulder injury sustained in Week 2 of the 2020 NFL season. Lock also made history at Gillette Stadium by being the youngest player to defeat the New England Patriots under head coach Bill Belichick during the 2020 campaign. In 2022, in exchange for quarterback Russell Wilson, Lock was traded to the Seattle Seahawks with two first-round selections, two second-round picks, a fifth-round pick, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, and tight end Noah Fant. Lock extended his contract with the Seahawks in 2023. However in 2024, Lock and the New York Giants reached a one-year agreement.
Lock committed to play collegiate football at the University of Missouri. Lock finished the 2016 season ranked second in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) along with that, Lock was chosen for the First-team All-SEC and Second-team All-SEC in the 2017 and 2018 seasons respectively. Lock concluded his collegiate career with 108 touchdowns. Lock attended Lee's Summit High School where he played basketball as well, but decided to give it up and focus on football instead.
