Texas-born wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk was drafted in the second round (37th pick) of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Patriots. He attended Lufkin High School while making it to their history books. Polk ended up with 131 receptions for 2,412 yards which is the second all-time in the school’s history. He also has the most receiving yards recorded (244) in a single game for his school. Polk was ranked the No. 67 wide receiver nationally by Rivals. He committed to Texas Tech University playing for the Raiders in 2020.

After appearing in 10 games in his freshman year, Polk chose to transfer to the University of Washington the following year. While struggling with injury in his first season with the Huskies, he became a regular starter in the 2022 season. In his final year before entering the draft, Polk recorded 69 receptions for 1,159 yards which was the sixth highest in UW history. He is one of the 10 Huskies who were selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.
