James Cook is an American Football running back for the Buffalo Bills of the NFL. The Bills selected him in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft with the 63rd overall pick. After accumulating 507 rushing yards and 180 receiving yards in his rookie season, Cook had a breakout season in 2023. James went on to amass more than 1,550 total yards through ground and air while getting into the endzone six times. He made the 2023 Pro Bowl roster.

Cook went to the Miami Central Senior High School. Throughout his high school career, Cook accumulated an impressive total of 2,019 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns. Cook was a top-rated recruit. However, Cook chose to sign a letter of intent to play for Georgia. In his freshman year, Cook participated in 13 games, accumulating 284 yards and two touchdowns from 41 carries, along with eight receptions for 89 yards. During his sophomore season, he played in all 14 games for Georgia, rushing 31 times for 188 yards and two touchdowns, while also making 16 catches for 132 yards. In the 2020 season, Cook emerged as the team's second-leading rusher with 303 yards and three touchdowns from 45 carries, in addition to catching 16 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns. In his senior year, Cook contributed significantly to the Bulldogs' success in winning the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship. He rushed for 728 yards and scored seven touchdowns while also making 27 receptions for 284 yards and four touchdowns.
