Jordan Love

Jordan Alexander Love is entering his second season as a starter in his NFL career as a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers in 2024. So far he has only one season's worth of starting reps as he was primarily used as a backup to Aaron Rodgers, for the first three years. He was drafted in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Packers with the 26th overall pick. He initially signed a four-year rookie contract worth just a shade over $12.3 million. A little more than half of the contract was given as a signing bonus worth $6,566,148. The entire sum was guaranteed, as typical for rookie contracts, with the average annual output clocking in at $3,095,863. However, he spent the majority of that time playing second fiddle to Rodgers.

Jordan Love came into the NFL with much fanfare. During his collegiate career at Utah State, the Bakersfield, California-born Love showcased immense potential as an NFL-level quarterback. During his 4 years tenure, his production saw continuous increment, culminating in a spectacular 2018 season. That year, he won the New Mexico Bowl MVP for a 4-touchdown performance to lead his team to victory.

However, over his first 3 seasons, playing time has been extremely limited for him as he serves as the backup for the legendary Aaron Rodgers. But, through sporadic appearances, Love had shown immense potential. However, after Rodgers finally decided to move on from Green Bay and went to New York, the Packers embraced Love as the quarterback of the future. Love immediately answered the bell in 2023 and proved that the Packers front office was not wrong when they took him on Day 1 of the 2020 NFL draft. Love went on to eclipse 4,000 passing yards in his first year as a starter along with scoring 32 touchdowns through air (2nd in the league) while leading Green Bay all the way to the Divisional round.
