Love became the first player from a Group of Five Conference to be selected in the 2020 NFL Draft. He signed his 4-year rookie contract that was valued at over $12.3 million and the contract was fully guaranteed. Love served as the backup quarterback to the legendary Aaron Rodgers for three years. Finally, after Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets, the Green Bay Packers named him the starting quarterback for the 2023 NFL Season. He finished the 2023 season with a 9-8 record and throwing for 4,159 yards.
