Lane Johnson is an American football player who plays as the right offensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles franchise of the NFL. Johnson is a Super Bowl LII winner with the Eagles, a 2-time First-Team All-Pro, a 2-time Second-Team All-Pro, and a six-time Pro-Bowler. The big 6’6”, 325-pound tackle has been one of the mainstays of the dominant Eagles team for the past decade or so. Johnson was born in Groveton, Texas, on May 8, 1990, and attended Groveton High School where he played on the football and track teams. In football, he started out playing the quarterback position. After passing out from high school, Johnson went to the University of Oklahoma where he played for four years on the Oklahoma Sooners football team.

While playing for the Sooners, Johnson played as a tight end and defensive lineman before being converted to an offensive lineman in his third year, as per reports. However, despite playing the offensive tackle position so late in college, the Texas native found no difficulty and was picked as the 4th overall pick in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

According to Phillyburs, he has also become a part of the Travis Manion Foundation which is named after a Marine who was killed in action in 2007. It was Johnson’s personal trainer who is a former Marine that told him about the foundation and Johnson was more than happy to be a part of it. This foundation offers various programs for the families of soldiers who have passed away.
