After seven seasons in the NFL, Hooker has 79 appearances combined for 273 tackles.
Hooker attended New Castle High School and was a versatile player, who could play cornerback and wide receiver as well. He also was named as the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Male Athlete of the Year in his senior year. Hooke committed to the Ohio State University, playing for the Buckeyes from 2014 to 2018. He was part of the 2014 CFP National Championship-winning team. In his collegiate career, Hooker appeared in 26 games. He also led his team to the 2015 Fiesta Bowl win, as he made First team All-Big Ten in 2016.
