Tershawn Wharton is an American football defensive tackle for the Carolina Panthers of the NFL as of March 2025. Missouri-born defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton was signed as an undrafted agent by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020. Wharton is a two-time Super Bowl (LVII, LVIII) winner and will enter his sixth season in 2025 with the Panthers. In his NFL career, Wharton has recorded 114 tackles and 13.5 sacks as of March 2025 (via ESPN). Growing up in University City, Missouri, he attended Maplewood Richmond Heights High School. Wharton transferred to the University High School after spending three seasons at Maplewood. He was selected to the first-team All-Suburban Central Conference honors.

Wharton committed to his home state Missouri S&T playing for the Miners in 2016. He finished his freshman year with 19 tackles and equaled the team lead for sacks (5.5). During his college career, He was named to the Great Lakes Valley Conference's all-league team three times and was an All-Super Region 3 pick twice (via Missouri S&T website).
